freedom of speech versus censorship

Freedom of speech versus censorship, these two concepts when looking at them could confuse one. The acceptance and allowing the voices to be heard when a certain topic is been raised it can also be seen as being heard. This enhances the thought of where ones opinions are important and heard. However, this thought being freedom of speech is just a fairytale we all believe in. what is meant with the statement is that why construct the term freedom of speech if in the end we will be forced to be silent (censorship).

The conflict of these opposing two terms is brought into context when focusing on what is happening in Iran. Iran had their democratic presidential elections, through this certain rights have been violated, this was successful because the Iranian entire state is censored. Through the censorship of the Iranian state the people their felt a need to present their freedom of speech. Even through their acts were still not heard but instead they were punished because they went against the countries belief of being silent. Therefore, the ability of being able voice their opinions is being violated.

The incident of what happened to Dave Carroll, his guitar got smashed he was quite upset about it that he created three songs about what happened and posted it up on the internet. What he was trying to do was to voice his opinion he wanted freedom of speech even though the airline company was not happy about it at all. Through the comments about the three songs made it suggests that Dave should have rather been silent because it was his own fault that his guitar is smashed. A guitar belongs in a guitar case in fact it is his own fault. Why the defamation of character was necessary he would know.

Amanda Bonnen she used twitter to view her opinions but in a sense she still ended up defacing certain characters. What happened for this defamation to take place was that she stayed in an apartment that apparently is filled with molds. She then posted up on twitter the statement and she received comments. The comment she received then emphasized her freedom of speech through that she was not voicing her opinion alone.

Once your character has been, defaced people need to recover by making their name good again. Therefore this is done through lawsuits being carried out, apologies are done and event public announcements.
